PAYMENT METHODS

- Offline Payments

  • How are your products made
Each piece of art you see on these pages, is hand blown glass created by me, the artist (Steve Claypatch). As seen on TV, molten glass is manipulated through years of practice to become an art objec
  • Is the glass etched?
No, the glass is actually hand carved. Carving glass is a rare and seldom used method of changing the surface of the glass after it is blown. People will usually see surfaces that have either been sandblasted, or acid etched and think it is carved.
  • Do you have a return policy?
Not really. Buying art online (especially glass which is so difficult to get exact colors while photographing) is difficult. I will do everything I can to answer your question(s) prior to your purchase. Each piece is packed carefully prior to shipping. I have shipped many pieces, and never have had a broken piece delivered. Any other important questions about ruturning a purchased piece, will have to be discussed.
  • What if I want more than 1 of the pieces in your gallery?
I would look forward to a discussion about a multiple piece commission. Please contact me with your ideas. I am sure you are aware, glassblowers are not Xerox machines, and our palette is smaller than the 128 crayola crayons. Additionally, I will not make duplicate pieces using a mold. Each piece will be handblown. My largest commission was 100 pieces.
  • How do you know what to price your work at?
I am very fortunate to be able to blow glass as a 'hobby profession'. I am retired, and do not need the income to survive. My prices are well below gallery costs for that reason. I want everyone to be able to afford my work and have art in their home I use any income derived from sales to continue my hobby and social contract ( I am currently donating 2 carved soap dispensers/week to the Health Care Professionals at my neighborhood Hospital. ) If you like my work, I am truly honored. If you are looking to support a full time artist, I am not that person, but would happily provide you with some of my fellow glass blowers who are trying to make a living performing this difficult art form. Any income I receive goes directly back to support my efforts to make art for our Health Care Professionals.
